Dazzle Digital Video Creator (DVC)

This I bought on 30 Oct 1999 for RM1280.
I use this primarily to transfer the video which I took using my videocam into my computer for further editing and processing.

You can see the DVC beside my Altec Lansing speakers.

The DVC is an external device which connects to the computer via the USB port. This makes for fast video transfers.
Below are some of its technical specifications:
MPEG video encoder
352x288 capture resolution (PAL 25fps)
3Mb/sec video bitrate
384KB/sec audio bitrate at 48KHz sampling frequency
Composite and S-Video input and output
Still image capture upto 1600x1200 pixels
The Dazzle software suite enables the audio and video capturing in realtime. It has a simple video editor that can output in realvideo format.
Also included is a VCD 2.0 Creator software.
Basically, I found the DVC to be fast, reliable and produces very good quality video captures. It is portable, very easy to use and has many useful features.
You can check out the latest products from Dazzle.
